Sometimes it's the small things in life that can make a difference.  Take sitting down at your desk at work.  I sit down during the morning show five days a week.  For five hours a day, I'm in my office chair pushing buttons and playing songs.  It turns out, that could be slowly killing me!  Here are 10 things that we do everyday that could shorten your life!

  • You're single.  Studies show being single for a long period of time can shave nearly a decade off of your lifespan.
  • Stting for long periods of time.  If you sit for more than 3 hours a day everyday at work, you're cutting several years off your lifespan.
  • You don't have a lot of friends.  People with weak social connections often die sooner.
  • You watch a lot of TV.  Every hour of TV you watch can shorten your lifespan by 21 minutes.  Sorry binge watchers.
  • Unhealthy eating habits.  Pretty obvious, but eating extra portions of unhealthy foods can cut short your life by 21%.
  • You're unemployed.  Not having a job can raise your risk of premature death by 63%.
  • Lack of intimacy.  You're 50% more likely to die early, than people who are getting lucky!
  • Annoying co-workers.  People with strong social connections with co-workers tend to live longer.
  • Messed up sleep pattern.  Peopel who get LESS than five hours and MORE than nine hours of sleep have a lower life expectancy.
  • You FEAR death.  Those who fear dying early, also have a lower life expectancy.
